ABERDEEN, Wash. - A trailer fire in Central Park Saturday morning may have claimed the life of a longtime harbor business owner.
Chief Criminal Deputy Steve Shumate with the County Sheriff’s department tells us deputies and firefighters from Fire District 2 and Montesano responded to the home of Everett Wadsworth in Central Park around 1 Saturday morning. later that morning, firefighters discovered a body in the trailer’s bedroom. Shumate said Saturday that investigators did not suspect fowl play as they searched for a cause of the fire, Shumate said it is believed that the victim of the fire was the 86 year old male resident of the home. The cause and origin of the fire are yet to be determined however a heater in the living room area of the residence was noted as a possible cause of the fire. An autopsy will be conducted sometime this week. A Positive ID will hopefully be made through dental records to verify the identity of the victim.
The Daily World reports 86-year-old Wadsworth was the former owner of the Linkshire market, and three other grocery stores, and was well known throughout Grays Harbor.
