RAYMOND, Wash. - Police have a vehicle prowl suspect in custody this morning, after a brief foot chase. The Raymond Police Department reports at about 4:30 Monday morning an officer was investigating a vehicle prowl in the Riverview area of Raymond when they encountered a suspect who fled when spotted. The officer gave chase and apprehended the suspect, a 21 year old resident of Raymond. The suspect admitted involvement in some of the vehicle prowls and was booked into the Pacific County Jail. Additional officers responded to assist in a search of the area. The investigation is ongoing as it is believed the suspect was working with at least one other suspect.
Residents are urged to call if they hear or see any suspicious activity and to keep their vehicles locked, and do not leave any valuables in the vehicle.
