Shelton, WA (October 9, 2012) Turning Pointe Domestic Violence Services, the local women’s shelter serving Mason County, received a $20,000 grant from The Mary Kay Foundation. In observation of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, The Mary Kay Foundation awards $20,000 grants to more than 150 domestic violence shelters across the country for a total of $3 million. We are so grateful to The Mary Kay Foundation for their continued support and we look forward to partnering with them once again to provide much needed services to those living and working in Mason County. Turning Pointe will use the grant funds awarded to provide critical operations support to maintain our 54 bed emergency shelter located in Shelton. The shelter provides safety, basic needs and other vital services to women, children and their pets, said Executive Director, Cheryl Cathcart.
