 Aberdeen, WA - The Port of Grays Harbor today made the final public steps toward the consolidation of the Grays Harbor PDA, and the taking over of the Satsop Business Park.
Legal counsel Art Blauvelt, explained to port commissioners at their regular meeting “The transfer is not taking place at the time of your acceptance, because we’ve included that clause about ‘subject to due diligence’ there will be a formal announcement when all of that is completed.” The resolution adopted today allows Blauvelt to finalize the conversion of various agreements into the port’s name, and allows the port to act on their behalf. Executive Director Gary Nelson said after the meeting that staff from both organizations had already started working together. The Port and PDA have been talking for over a year now about the possible merger, Nelson has said that the timing is perfect because the two are doing well.
