Aberdeen, WA - Grays Harbor Community Hospital is undergoing a major lobby renovation starting Monday, October 8th, and lasting up to three months.  Tom Jensen, CEO says, “We know that first impressions are important and we want our customers to have a warm welcome into our Community Hospital. We offer state-of-the-art care, and a newly renovated Lobby will reflect an atmosphere of excellence that will carry throughout the entire visit. Customers will notice an updated décor as well as additional privacy.”

Temporary Entrance

In order to complete this renovation, the main entrance and driveway will be completely closed.  Guests and patients will be asked to use one of three other entrances.

1)      The lower parking lot on the ground level, overlooking the community and near the Cafeteria, or

2)       The main level between the current entrance and the Emergency Department.

Both of these entrances will be available from 6AM to 8PM.

3)      The third option is the Emergency Department entrance that is available 24 hours a day, however, this entrance is not meant for guest entrance between the hours of 6am and 8pm.

All patients will be discharged through the main level entrance between the current entrance and the Emergency Department.

Services currently available on the first floor will continue to be fully operational during the renovation.  Signage will guide visitors to the temporary registration area and waiting room that have been relocated.

Hospital staff, Medical staff, Board Members, as well as our community, have contributed funds specifically for this project, having raised well over $100,000.  If you are interested in supporting your Community Hospital to help ensure that future generations will have a warm welcome to our hospital, please contact the Grays Harbor Community Hospital Foundation at 360-537-6197.

Grays Harbor Transit service will remain available at the same location during construction.  If a change is needed, appropriate signage will be posted.

The GHCH Shuttle will also continue its service from the Olympic Stadium, with the pick-up and drop off location remaining the same.  If a change is needed, appropriate signage and notification will keep riders updated.

“We ask for your flexibility over these next few months as we deviate from the normal patient and visitor flow into Grays Harbor Community Hospital.  The work will result in the lobby reflecting the quality care received in the hospital” Says Larry Kahl, Chief Operations Officer.
