RAYMOND, Wash. - A Raymond man was taken into custody on Domestic Violence charges, after Sheriff's Deputies spotted him at the Pacific County Fair Wednesday.
Sheriff Scott Johnson tells us just before 11 Tuesday morning deputies working with the Raymond Police Department and Washington State Patrol responded to a report of a Domestic Violence Assault in the 700 block of Garden Street in Raymond. Officers made contact with a female victim who told them that her boyfriend was trying to lock her out of the bedroom, When she was trying to push the door open, the suspect grabbed her by the shirt and threw her onto the bed. She said he got on top of her to hold her down. The victim said she began kicking and punching at him to get him off of her. The victim said the suspect then put his hand around her throat to choke her.
Officers observed the victim injuries consistent with the described assault. The suspect, a 19 year old Raymond man, had fled the scene prior to Law Enforcement's arrival. On August 22nd, deputies observed the suspect at the Pacific County Fair, where he was taken into custody without incident.
