Elma, WA - Fans of ‘70s-80s rock will get a full dose of Eagles and Credence Clearwater Revival music when tribute bands Hotel California and the Bayou Boys perform on the Pepsi stage during the Grays Harbor County Fair in Elma. Plus, on Saturday there will be car racing at the Grays Harbor Raceway. All the entertainment and the car races are free with a paid fair admission.  “We’re bringing back Hotel California, a Salute to the Eagles, because they were so popular last year,” said Rod Easton, fair entertainment coordinator. “They’ve become better and better. The members of Hotel California really enjoy themselves, and last year they received an enthusiastic standing ovation from the crowd. This year’s Grays Harbor County Fair is a great value, too – you get the historic experience of a county fair and a first-class music venue for only $10.”
Hotel California, A Salute to the Eagles, was founded to fill the void left by the demise of The Eagles in 1982. By blending their extraordinary vocal and musical talents, Hotel California faithfully and accurately reproduces the sound of the Eagles’ recordings while recreating a classic sound that transcends the boundaries of Rock, R&B, and Country while delivering a modern, action-packed performance.
The band is comprised of five respected, multi-talented music industry professionals who present a dynamic, exciting show saluting the music of The Eagles, whose music has proven to have extraordinary staying power. Audiences can once again experience the energy and magic of this timeless sound. Early in 1989, The Bayou Boys hit the road and haven’t looked back. Since their inception, the band has toured all over the U.S. and Canada also returning to Scandinavia, where they are a favorite for recreating the Creedence Clearwater Revival music. Lead singer, Canadian Mike McDonald, is often compared to frontman John Fogerty and is backed by strong vocal harmonies. The staging and costumes worn by all band members will take the audience from the 1970s peace revolution to the rock era around the world. “The Bayou Boys will have the crowd dancing in the aisles. General admission tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and $6 for students aged 6 to 15. Children 5 and under are free. Members of the military receive a $2 off each day.
