Hoquiam School Bus Accident, 10 Children and Driver Unharmed Monday

Hoquiam, WA - A School bus was rear ended yesterday, 10 children wearing their seatbelts were unharmed. Deputy Police Chief Don Wertanen tells KBKW around 11:45, the bus had slowed on Simpson avenue for traffic and was struck in the rear by a Jeep Wrangler. All children were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported by the children or bus driver. The Hoquiam Fire Department was dispatched to the scene as a precaution to check the children. The driver of the Jeep was not injured and was issued an infraction for following too close, and arrested for a criminal traffic offense.
