Failor Lake to Open Early for Kids-Only Fishing Derby

Hoquiam, WA - Failor Lake will be opening early for the Grays Harbor Poggie (Poe-Gee) Club's Fishing Derby this year, The 4 hour opening on April 21st will allow ONLY juveniles 14 and younger to participate in the derby. The lake will then close again until the regular trout season opens, one week later.


Action: Open Failor Lake to fishing by juvenile anglers only.

Effective dates: 8:00 a.m. through noon April 21, 2012.

Species affected: Trout and other game fish

Location: Failor Lake, Grays Harbor County.

Reasons for action: The opener will allow boys and girls 14 and younger to participate in a Fishing Derby hosted by the Grays Harbor Poggie Club.

Other information: Following this opener Failor Lake will remain closed until the regularly scheduled lowland trout opener on the last Saturday in April.
