The Washington State Department of Health has permanently revoked the credential of an Edmonds certified nursing assistant due to sexual misconduct, The agency’s Nursing Assistant Program took the action against Thomas Perez Orate (NAC.NC.10022538). In November of 2011, the agency charged Orate with sexual misconduct and suspended his license. Orate waived his right to a hearing. The order permanently revoking Orate’s license completes the process. Orate cannot practice in Washington or seek reinstatement of his credential(s). In August of 2011, Orate rubbed an adult family home resident’s neck and back, and touched her breasts. He put his hand inside her pants, touched her inappropriately, and said he wanted to have sexual intercourse with her. He tried to force her to perform oral sex on him and suggested they go to another room where there was a bed.
