ABERDEEN, Wash. - Wire thieves are stepping up their game at one Aberdeen park, stealing entire bleachers, piece by piece. Mayor Bill Simpson tells us his parks department discovered the damage to the Bishop Athletic Complex off of the Westport Highway earlier this week. Simpson said it appears as if thieves used bolt cutters to tear up the aluminum bleachers, even dragging pieces to the other side of the highway. Parks Director Karl Harris said he plans to install cameras at the remote park. At last week's city council meeting Harris encouraged citizens to report suspicious activity at city parks to the police department.
