Aberdeen, WA - Detectives with the Aberdeen Police Department are attempting to identify and speak with the subject shown in this photo. A clerk at a local convenience store told detectives that this subject was at the store in the early morning hours on 2/12/12 . The subject reportedly made a comment to the clerk that requires follow up due to the homicide that had been reported the night before.

The person in the photo is not known by the Aberdeen Police Department to be a suspect in any crime. The Aberdeen Police Department is asking the public for its assistance in identifying the person so he may be interviewed.

On 2/11/12 at about 8:40 P.M.the Aberdeen Police Department responded to a man down in the 100 Block of North Jefferson Street who had suffered apparent stab wounds . The victim was treated and transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital by the Aberdeen Fire Department where he died while in surgery. The victim was identified as Raymundo Simon Navarrete, a 39 year old male who was living in Aberdeen and had family in the Shelton area. The victim was also known as Jose Alberto Guerrero Garcia.

The death was ruled a homicide and the criminal investigation has continued with Detective Dave Cox as the lead investigator.

During the investigation a person of interest was developed. While conducting additional interviews this person developed into a suspect as the person allegedly involved in the death of Mr. Navarrete.

On February 24th Detective Cox applied for and was granted a felony arrest warrant from Grays Harbor Superior Court for Murder in the Second Degree on:

Erick Ambrocio-Monzon, 30 years of age, also known as "El Grande."

Described as a Hispanic male, 6,00 foot, 175 pounds, black hair, brown eyes.

The suspect should be considered dangerous. Citizens should not attempt to contact the suspect if he is seen. If a member of the public believes they see the suspect in this murder investigation they should call 911 as soon as it is safe to do so.
