OCEAN SHORES, Wash. - Shop Ocean Shores (SOS) winners for their 9th annual edition were announced Wednesday, January 11 at the Ocean Shores/North Beach Chamber of Commerce office. Sherry McEntire, the $500 cash winner from Sequim, Washington, commented "tell me again what I won, because my husband is never going to believe it!"Sherry said that was the first time she had ever been to Ocean Shores and she will definitely be coming back to visit us! Mayor Crystal Dingler pulled the $500 winner from our great big tumbler --- there were over 10,000 tickets turned in this year, representing over $214,000 in sales from our 26 participating merchants. Over 20 merchants were present for the drawing held at the Ocean Shores/North Beach Chamber and all enjoyed outstanding bakery goodies from the Ocean Shores Bakery. This program is a way for participating merchants and sponsors from the Ocean Shores/North Beach Chamber of Commerce to promote shopping locally, whether visitors to the area or locals. For every $20 purchased, an entry was given for the $500 prize. The program ran from October 15 through December 31.
