New Year's Day Stabbing Investigated

Shelton, WA - Mason County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a New Year's Day stabbing, Chief Deputy Dean Byrd tells us at about 3:13 Sunday morning, Deputies found a significant amount of blood at a party in the 100 block of Enatai Court on the Skokomish Indian Reservation.

Byrd said a 20 year old male from Shelton and a 19 year old female from Shelton were treated for stab wounds and released at Mason General Hospital. Investigators have been able to identify a person of interest, described as a 24 year old male who lives near the scene of the crime. Detectives are continuing the investigation and expect to make an arrest soon.
