Aberdeen, WA - The Aberdeen School District last week closed on the refinance of a portion of it's bond, saving taxpayers a total of over $576-thousand, School Superintendent Tom Opstad said recently "what it does is it reduces our tax obligation, so if we increase our levy there would be a net zero for tax payers."
The School Board conducted a work study session last weekend, to discuss the upcoming levy proposal. A final decision on what to include in the levy and the requested amount is expected at their regular meeting on December 20.
