WASPC Opposes Recreational Marijuana Legalization Initiative

Washington State - The Washington Association of Sheriff's and Police Chiefs this week have opposed an initiative seeking to legalize the recreational use of Marijuana. Hoquiam, Washington Police Chief Jeff Meyers tells us from the WASPC conference in Chelan that opponents and propponents presented to Association members yesterday, later in the business meeting the membership approved a resolution in opposition to Initiative 502. Initiative sponsors are collecting signatures now for what is being called a "public health approach to marijuana use."
