Hoquiam Business Files $25-Million International Lawsuit

HOQUIAM, Wash. - A Washington business has filed a $25-million lawsuit claiming an Austrian manufacturer stole its technology. Hoquiam based Ovalstrapping filed suit in Federal District Court in Tacoma, adding in a statement that Andritz AG "secretly misappropriated Ovalstrapping designs to create it's own line of tying equipment." The lawsuit against the manufacturer of pulp and paper maker equipment seeks an injunction and compensation of at least $25-million in damages. The case in question is Ovalstrapping Incorporated and Oval International v. Andritz AG, Case number 3:11-cv-05820
