Hoquiam, WA - Hoquiam School District is looking at a pilot program that will move classes around for High School students, maybe as soon as December. "Core/Flex is a popular solution that some High Schools have engaged in, and they would like to do a pilot to see in fact if it meets the needs of Hoquiam High School."
School Superintendant Mike Parker said the program would a lot 25 minutes a day for core, or flex time depending on the student's performance... If a student needs help in a class, they spend core time on that subject. Students performing well get flex time to spend doing things that interest them.
