COSMOPOLIS, Wash. -  Residents of Cosmopolis were surprised to find foam gurgling out of the ground at the end of third street yesterday afternoon from an underground Cosmo Specialty Fibers' pipe.
Bob Buchan with Cosmo tells us after a leak in one of their lines was verified, the mill was shut down and remained quiet today "We're working on that leak and a second leak, and we expect the mill to go up tomorrow." Buchan said the line carries non-hazardous treated liquid 4 miles West to settling ponds.
Cosmopolis Mayor Vickie Raines tells us she was on scene around 9 last night while 25 Cosmo  worked to repair the pipe that sits about 12 feet underground.
