COSMOPOLIS, Wash. - City leaders will again talk grass restrictions at tonight's City Council. After an ordinance restricting grass height on private property in Cosmopolis was ushered in, Mayor Vickie Raines quickly vetoed the ordinance last month "If you're going to make the residents abide by a certain law, the business community should have to do the same."
City Councilman Frank Chesnut said during last month's meeting "I can live with 12, I can live with 10. Mt point being is there has to be a perceived limit out there somewhere. If we have to include business, include business. I don't want to see a standard die on the vine and just go in the wastebasket again." Chesnut plans to request the addition of the topic to tonight's agenda when it is approved.
