Hoquiam, WA - The City of Hoquiam is a little frustrated with a finding by the State Auditor's Office in their recent audit. City Administrator Brian Shay tells us it was a filing error "we did not list, the fact that we had a federally funded project on our year-end report."
Shay said the downtown sidewalk project was listed as a city project with state funding, not federal. "It's absolutely ridiculous that we would get a finding from such a minor error, that didn't have anything to do with a misappropriation."
The State Auditor's report said Hoquiam lacked a a procedure that would have caught that error.
