Agreement Brings Funds For Marine Resource Committee

Montesano, WA - Grays Harbor County has entered into an interlocal agreement with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Garret Daylan, Marine Resources Committee Coordinator, explained it will help fund projects like "water quality monitoring mostly focusing on oyster growing in the harbor, other grants and things, the one that comes to mind is the piling project. There's also the work that the MRC is going to do as part of the Watershed Festival next month."
The two year agreement approved yesterday at the county commissioners meeting will bring $20,000 annually with an additional $14,000 for 2012 and $18,000 for 2013.
