Speeding Emphasis Patrols Begin Statewide

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Emphasis Patrols throughout Washington State will be looking for speeders, Angie Ward with the Washington Traffic Safety Commission tells us this is their first time with this type of emphasis "We're just trying to see, does this make a difference, does this lower our fatalities and serious injuries when we put this emphasis on [speeding]."
Ward said the statewide effort to reduce speeding will begin July 15th and run through August 7th.
