Aberdeen Backs Up Fireworks Ordinance

Responding to recent criticism over Aberdeen's Fireworks ordinance, City Councilman and Public Safety Committee chair Paul Fritz said at last night's council meeting; "Between July First and July Fourth, the Police Department handled 348 seperate calls, of those only twenty-seven calls had to do with fireworks."

Fritz noted that the three structure fires that were attributed to fireworks occured after the legal date for discharge.
