Hoquiam, WA - Bad brake lights turned into a brief vehicle chase, then a foot chase for Hoquiam Police yesterday. Sargent Don Wertanen tells us a Hoquiam officer spotted the bad taillights around 7:30 last night, but when attempting to pull over the vehicle on Perry Avenue, it sped up, turned onto Endresen and parked. The driver, a 26 year old Hoquiam man, fled on foot, leaving a 21 year old Aberdeen woman to be interviewed by officers, who determined the man was wanted on a felony arrest warrant. The fleeing suspect was later found hiding under a home after an extensive search involving Hoquiam's K unit. Both the driver and passenger of the vehicle were taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
