Hoquiam Baulks on Parking Ordinance Change

Hoquiam, WA - The Hoquiam City Council failed to adopt a proposed amendment that would have established a 2 hour parking limit at a controversial intersection on Myrtle street. While adopting an amendement to the city's current parking ordinance, councilman Greg Grund proposed the change in front of the PUD Nichols Building where a semi truck sits in protest. The motion died quickly when no other council would second it for a vote. The Parking ordinance as-read was adopted, dissallowing parking on the riverside dike.
