drugs and money recoveredShelton, WA - A 31 year old Shelton man is in custody for violation of the uniform controlled substance act following a narcotics trafficking investigation that lasted several months.  Bernabe Murillo-Bejar, 31, Shelton is currently being held in the Mason County Jail on $25,000 bail.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2009, Mason County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Group (SOG) moved into the arrest phase of the investigation into cocaine and methamphetamine deliveries occurring in and around the City of Shelton. During the course of the investigation SOG made multiple controlled buys of cocaine from suspects residing at 912 E Shelton Springs Road and conducted many hours of surveillance in order to identify suspects, associates and suspect vehicles.
 


At approximately 4:30 PM, SOG detectives, assisted by Squaxin Island PD and Deputy Dodge with K9 Kona, served a search warrant at 912 E Shelton Springs Road. This residence is located approximately 300 yards away from Shelton High School property. Execution of the warrant resulted in the seizure of approximately a quarter pound of powder cocaine (approximate street value: $4,000), a half ounce of crystal methamphetamine (approximate street value: $700), approximately $1,300 cash in drug proceeds and one vehicle used to facilitate cocaine deliveries and/or traceable to drug proceeds. Murillo-Bejar remains in custody. Investigators say this investigation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated.
