Wrong Number Turns Into Drug Trafficking Charges

Hoquiam, WA - A wrong-number text message evolved into a drug bust for one Hoquiam boy yesterday after attempting to sell some of his prescription Oxycontin to the person. The Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office reports yesterday evening a Montesano family received a text asking if they would like to purchase some pills. After receiving the report, a Montesano Police Officer engaged in a text conversation with the potential seller and arranged a meeting in Aberdeen. An 18 year old Hoquiam boy was arrested after selling some of his Oxycontin pills to an undercover DTF officer in the Wal-Mart parking lot, and is now held on felony drug trafficking charges. Three other teens were questioned and released. Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Rick Scott commending the Montesano Officer for recognizing the potential to turn a "wrong number" into a drug bust.
