WSP Rapid Deployment Force Training in Hoquiam

Grays Harbor County - Local troopers involved with the Washington State Patrols Rapid Deployment Force (RDF) will be conducting training in Hoquiam.

Washington State PatrolRDF has the training to respond to incidents of civil disturbance, demonstrations, crowd control, critical infrastructure protection and natural disasters.  The team has been trained in an all-hazards approach that can be called upon in an effort to help respond, restore, and sustain vital life necessities during hazardous events. 

Training will take place at the Hoquiam Airport on Friday, March 27 beginning at 10:00 am.  The training will be done in partnership with the US Coast Guard. 

 


Statewide, there are currently 5 RDF teams strategically located throughout the state with 145 troopers that volunteer.  The District 8 team consists of 2 squads comprised of 13 members - one Sergeant (Squad Leader), an Assistant Squad Leader, two Chemical Agent Responders, and 9 line members.    

District 8 covers Kitsap, Mason, Grays Harbor, Pacific, Wahkiakum, Clallam and Jefferson Counties.
