Raymond, WA - The Board of Pharmacy and the Washington State Department of Health have immediately suspended the pharmacist and pharmacy credentials of Ronald G. Brummel and Raymond Drug Co. in Pacific County (PHRM.PH.00009276 and PHAR.CF.00001111). He’s charged with improperly filling prescriptions through the Internet.
Brummel can’t practice or work as a pharmacist until the charges are resolved, nor can Raymond Drug operate as a pharmacy. Brummel has been the owner, operator, and responsible pharmacist at Raymond Drug.
The statement of charges alleges that between about June 2006 and April 2010, Brummel filled prescriptions for legend drugs through the Internet. Patients throughout the United States received the drugs without proper doctor-patient consultation, the charges say — something Brummel knew or should have known. Brummel thus failed to exercise competent professional judgment regarding the validity of the prescriptions he filled, the statement of charges says.
Brummel and Raymond Drug have 20 days to respond to the statement of charges.
