Westport, WA - Half Moon Bay Bar & Grill took second place with their signature dish, the fresh dungeness crab cake, and a new creation, bacon wrapped tuna bombs, at the Comcast Bite of Seattle on July 16, 17, and 18. The Comcast Bite of Seattle is the Northwest's premier food festival, with over 50 restaurants and 30 other food vendors participating. Over 400,000 people attended the event, which was held at Seattle Center.
"It's great to be able to bring a taste of Westport up to the big city. We are really proud of our fresh seafood and it feels good to be recognized as having some of the best food in the region." said Half Moon Bay Bar and Grill General Manager, Donovan Maples.
The logistics of preparing and transporting so much food is not without its challenge, it is akin to building and setting up a 10' by 20' "mini-restaurant" in a tent. The Half Moon Bay Bar & Grill would like to thank all the hands that went into making it a success. A special Mahalo (thank you) goes out to Stuart Monroe, with FSA; Maryanne, and the team at Amerigas, Washington Crab, and all the fishermen who supply us with such amazing product from our local waters. Also a big thank you to our temporary on-site staff coordinated by Marissa Schroeder.

Half Moon Bay Bar and Grill has won several honors for their seafood over the past 2 years, including Best Entree at the 2009 Bite of Seattle and Best Entree at both the 2009 and 2010 Taste of Tacoma.
