The arrest was made at 9am tuesday morning when Drug Task Force agents raided a home at the corner of fourth and North M Street in Aberdeen, Thomas Copland; son of Grays Harbor District Court Judge Tom Copland was taken into custody without incident. Copland was arrested under an investigation into alleged drug trafficking, he was alone at the residence, owned by his mother, where he had been living. Investigation at the scene yielded several ounces of heroine, $1700 in cash, and a small amount of marijuana.
24 year old Copland remains in custody this morning on $50,000 dollars bail charged with felony violation of the uniform controlled substance act, Grays Harbor County Undersherrif Rick Scott tells us the prosecutor will decide whether to charge Copland with trafficking as well.
