We’ve all heard the terms “alternative energy” and “green technology.” But what is alternative energy - alternative to what? Alan Richrod will discuss several alternative energies, including wind, solar, geothermal, and fuel-less transportation in straightforward language. The presentation will be held on Wednesday, May 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Elma Timberland Library. The program will end after closing time. The library will remain open only for the program.
Richrod will also examine what’s on the horizon for the new green technologies. “Grays Harbor Washington is a potential “gold mine” of alternative energy and could lead the way to future centuries of clean energy and energy independence,” he stated.
A technical researcher and writer, Richrod has avidly studied alternative energy resources for the past 30 years and has often given presentations on the subject. Because the industry is changing so rapidly, Richrod will bring new information to this talk. He will take questions after the presentation.
The Elma Timberland Library is located at 118 N First Street, Elma. For more information, call (360) 482-3737 or go to www.TRL.org.
