Aberdeen, WA - The Aberdeen School Board is seeking input from the community on the qualities people would like to see in a new superintendent.

Michael Boring, the board's search consultant, will be in the district to help the board gather comments during a community meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, in the Community Room at Aberdeen High School, 410 North G Street.

The current superintendent, Martin W. Kay, has announced he will retire at the end of the school year. The input gathered this month will be taken into consideration by the School Board when it reviews applications and during the interview process.

Additional public meetings will be announced when the finalists are selected. The School Board hopes to name a new superintendent by March 31.

For more information, contact Dee Anne Shaw in the Superintendent's Office at (360) 538-2002.
