Pacific County Layoffs Shore up 2010 Budget

South Bend, WA - The Pacific County Board of Commissioners have adopted a 2010 budget that includes the layoff of 15 current employees, and the loss of 12 other budgetted positions through attrition. County Administrative Officer Brian Harrision told KBKW 12 positions "were filled at one time, currently the layoffs include about 15 existing employees" 12 positions have not been filled from the 2009 budget, and will not be filled in 2010, 15 existing employees received layoff notices from the county today.
