School Bus vs. Elk Collision

Vader, WA - On 10/22/09 at 7:25 a.m. the Washington State Patrol responded to collision involving a school bus and an elk.


A school bus from the Boistfort School District was traveling on Wildwood Road near Vader Washington. The school bus was traveling northbound when a cow elk entered the roadway and was struck by the school bus.


None of the children on the school bus were injured. There was damage to the front of the school bus which required the vehicle to be towed from the scene.
