Mason County Sheriff Swears In Two New Reserve Deputies

Effective Until Further Notice

Shelton, WA - On Monday, Mason County Sheriff Casey Salisbury swore in two new Reserve Deputies that will volunteer their time to assist full time Deputy Sheriffs.

Nathan Anderson and Brandon Heggie became the newest members to join the ranks of Reserve Deputy Sheriffs and will work in the Patrol Division.

Reserve Deputy Sheriffs undergo a state certified five month training program, attending every Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and all day Saturdays.  This training allows a Reserve Deputy to enforce all laws while the Reserve Deputy is on-duty.  The reserves’ responsibilities include assignment to fully commissioned Patrol Deputies, providing a vital resource to the Sheriff’s Office and to the county by allowing for two man patrol vehicles, assisting with traffic control at traffic accidents and crime scenes, and transporting prisoners.
