Posted by David Haviland on July 24, 2009 at 5:40 am (1389 social interactions)

Aberdeen- Grays Harbor PUD plans to conduct a planned overnight power outage estimated to last about five-and-a-half hours on Wednesday, August 5, 2009. The planned outage is scheduled from 12:01am Wednesday morning (just after midnight) until approximately 5:30am Wednesday morning. The outage is necessary for crews to replace and relocate power poles along Highway 109 and to replace equipment as part of system maintenance along Highway 115.

Customers that will be affected are those located south of Highway 115 and west of North Beach High School (the high school will NOT be impacted by the outage). The outage area includes all of the City of Ocean Shores.

Customers within the planned outage area are advised to protect sensitive electronic equipment such as computers, televisions, and microwaves by unplugging those items and leaving them disconnected until the power is fully restored.  In addition, customers are advised that the length of the outage (five and a half hours) is an estimate and power could be restored at any time. It is not safe to make repairs to your electrical system without having the power disconnected.
