Man hoisted from cliff near La Push

SEATTLE - The Coast Guard hoisted a 22-year-old man from a cliff on Little James Island near La Push, Wash., Tuesday.

Coast Guard Station Quillayute River, Wash., received a call from the La Push Police Department at approximately 12:46 p.m. requesting a helicopter with hoist capabilities for a man suspended 150 feet on a cliff.  

Coast Guard Group/Air Station Port Angeles launched an MH-65C helicopter crew at 1:37 p.m., which arrived on scene at approximately 2:00 p.m.

The man was taken to a waiting emergency medical service crew in Quillayute.
