NASELLE, Wash. - A Pacific County man was arrested early yesterday morning after making threats to his roomates about shooting them, and the police if they responded.
On July 16th Deputies investigated the report of a man having fired a firearm at two subjects in the 300 block of Knappton road, in Naselle. The Sheriff's department reports the victims had fled the scene and were contacted by deputies. They reported that the male had been arguing with them throughout the night, and at some point made threats to harm them and to shoot the police if they came to the house.
Deputies responded to the area, close neighbors were evacuated, it was believe the suspect was still inside the residence. Pacific County Sheriff Scott Johnson requested outside assistance from the Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office, the Washington State Patrol and other local police agencies.
The residence was entered and cleared the male suspect was not found. Early on the morning of July 17th, 2013 Sheriff Scott Johnson arrested the suspect, not to far from the residence. The suspect surrendered without incident.
The suspect was interviewed and weapons were recovered. The 36 year old male was transported to the Pacific County Jail and booked on two counts of attempted Murder and 4 counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
As all of the parties involved live in the same residence this would also be considered a violation of the Domestic Violence Act. The case investigation is ongoing, further charges may be forthcoming.
