ABERDEEN, Wash. - Grays Harbor E911 Director Peggy Fouts has been recognized by the Washington State Chapter of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officers (APCO) with the Life Member Award at their annual meeting on June 19th.
The Washington State Chapter of APCO bestows the Life Member award to recognize recipients who are long standing members, and who are active in the organization.
As a recipient of the award, Fouts is recognized for her dedication to the profession of public safety communications, to APCO, and for having demonstrated a willingness to serve via active participation in training, chapter committees, projects, and conferences. Fouts was recognized as a person of vision, courage and conviction who serves as both a mentor and a role model. She makes a positive impact on her profession and builds a sense of community and collaboration amongst the many public safety communication agencies in our state and the nation.
Peggy Fouts has served as an APCO member-at-large, as a past APCO state conference chair, as a representative on the WA APCO Executive Council, as president of WA APCO, and on multiple international committees. Fouts currently serves as the Western Regional Representative for the Board of Directors of APCO International.
