Long Beach, Washington – AmeriCorps Member Leanna Reuss, in coordination with the Pacific County Emergency Management Agency (PCEMA), is organizing a beach cleanup of the Grayland / South Beach area of Pacific County. This event will be on Saturday, April 20, 2013 and will start at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m.
Volunteers should approach the beach from Warrenton Cannery Road approach and may pick up a garbage bag at the check-in point as they approach the beach. Full garbage bags may be returned to a dumpster located at or near the check-in point. There will also be a limited number of trash grabbers available for volunteers who need them.
Parking is available off the Cranberry Beach Road in the state park for volunteers with Discovery Passes. The section of beach that will be cleaned is approximately 3.5 miles long and accessible from two approaches - Warrenton Cannery Road and Cranberry Beach Road. Volunteers from all over the area are encouraged to come enjoy a day at the beach and help keep Washington’s coastline clean.
If you want more information or would like to volunteer without cleaning the beach by helping sign others in you may contact Leanna Reuss at (360) 642-4484 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
