Aberdeen Man Allegedly Assaults Estranged Wife

Aberdeen, WA - A 41 year old Aberdeen man is in custody on rape charges for allegedly assaulting his estranged wife after their kids left for school yesterday morning.
Chief Criminal Deputy Steve Shumate with the Sheriff's Department tells us deputies responded to the home on the Wishkah road around 11 yesterday, the woman told investigators that she had been seperated from her husband since February, and that due to recent erratic behavior, she was pursuing a no contact order.
Shumate tells us the woman was transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Detectives located the suspect parked at the end of Greenwood Road north of Hoquiam at about 2 yesterdyay afternoon. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Grays Harbor County Jail. The estranged husband was booked for Domestic Violence Rape 1st.
