Icy Roads a Factor in Montesano Fatality Accident Friday Morning

Montesano, WA - Icy road conditions this morning factored into a fatality accident on State Route 107 in Montesano. The Washington State Patrol reports 37 year old Gonzalo Santos of Cosmopolis was driving Northbound on the 107 bridge over the Chehalis River near Mary's River Lumber when his 1989 Toyota Pickup left the roadway across the oncoming lanes and came to rest upside down in a marshy area. State Route 107 was closed for about 3 hours this morning while the accident was investigated.
Trooper Blankenship with the Washington State Patrol tells us the man was wearing a seatbelt, the cause of the accident is under investigation.
