The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the North & Central Coasts through 11am Wednesday morning. Winds are expected to build to 20-30 mph sustained, gusting to 50+ mph. Winds could still gust to 45mph later Wednesday afternoon. There will be lots of rain - 2" plus for the coast with 1-2" inland and the threat of hail and thunderstorms through Thursday morning. Late Wednesday and early Thursday, the snow level could drop to 300 feet. Surf conditions will grow with expected coastal waves reaching 20-25 feet impacting all area beaches. Be alert for downed trees and power lines creating possible power outages. Driving will be extremely hazardous during downpours, hail and possible snowfall. Be alert for pooling of water on highways. No rivers in the county are expected to reach flood stage although all will rise. There could be small stream and low pastureland flooding associated with this powerful storm.
