Aberdeen, WA - An Aberdeen woman is cooling down in the city jail after breaking out a window and running from a domestic violence call Monday morning, then assaulting her arresting officer and attempting suicide in her jail cell later that day.
Police Captain John Green tells us the 25 year old fled the scene of a reported dispute between her and a man in the 900 block of West 1st street just after 11 Monday morning. She was spotted a couple hours later on Market street and taken into custody for violating a no contact order, adding resisting arrest charges during her arrest. Jail staff reported just after 3pm that she attempted suicide by wrapping a peice of cloth around her neck and attaching it to the bunk bed in her cell.
