Grays Harbor PUD Plans Power Outage for Beacon Hill in Hoquiam

Hoquiam, WA - The Grays Harbor PUD will conduct a planned power outage Friday, February 22, 2013 from 9:30am until approximately 2:30pm in the Beacon Hill area of Hoquiam. The outage is necessary to install a new distribution line to serve that area. The work will enhance the reliability of the system serving Beacon Hill. 

The power will be off to all of Beacon Hill (approximately 80 customers).  Customers within the planned outage area are advised to protect sensitive electronic equipment such as computers, televisions, and microwaves by unplugging those items and leaving them disconnected until the power is fully restored. 

In addition, customers are advised that the length of the outage (5 hours) is an estimate and power could be restored at any time. For that reason, it is not safe to make repairs to your electrical system without having the power disconnected at your specific location.
