Washington Liquor Control Board Extends Deadline on Producer License Comments

OLYMPIA, Wash. - The State Liquor Control Board has extended the deadline to submit public comments for the "Producer License." portion of Initiative 502 that legalizes the sale and use of marijuana in Washington. The board plans to release a draft version of the rules and regulations defining how a producer licensee must legally operate in mid April. The new deadline for public comment is March 15, 2013. for details visit liq.wa.gov

The state says that home grown marijuana for recreational use, as well as sale, remains illegal. Recreational use marijuana must be purchased from a state-licensed retailer.
