Noise Complaints Interrupt Alleged Burglars

HOQUIAM, Wash. - Neighbor reports of noises coming from an abandoned home early Monday morning helped Hoquiam Police nab two men who were allegedly collecting scrap metal. Detective Sgt. Shane Krohn tells us The 22 and 43 year old Hoquiam men were found inside the home in the 400 block of Chenault avenue with burglary tools and a pile of collected metal. Both were booked into the Grays Harbor County jail for residential burglary.

On 02-11-13, Hoquiam Officers responded to the residence in the 400 block of Chenault Avenue in West Hoquiam, for a report of loud noises coming from an abandon residence next door in the early morning hours. The residence has been tagged by the City of Hoquiam as a nuisance residence.
Officers arrived on scene and located two adult males inside the residence with burglary tools and scrap metal which had been gathered up in a pile inside. The 22 year old and 43 year old Hoquiam males were taken into custody and booked into the Grays Harbor County jail for residential burglary. Investigation is on going.
