Crude By Rail Workshop Tonight in Aberdeen

Posted by David Haviland on January 30, 2013 at 5:57 am (264 social interactions)

The Port of Grays Harbor is hosting a public workshop to introduce the concept of crude by rail and discuss the opportunities and challenges it may present to the community.

There are currently three companies considering projects that would invest $100 million in the construction of storage facilities at the Port of Grays Harbor. Combined, the companies would potentially hire 100 permanent workers, and generate additional longshore, rail and marine service jobs.

This is an opportunity to learn more and ask questions of representatives from Imperium Terminal Services LLC, U.S. Development Group LLC/Grays Harbor Rail Terminal LLC, Westway Terminal Company, Port of Grays Harbor, Puget Sound & Pacific Railroad, Washington State Regulatory Offices, City of Hoquiam, U.S. Coast Guard, and Greater Grays Harbor, Inc.

When: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 30. Presentation starts at 6 p.m., there will be information booths with representatives from the various companies, public safety and governmental entities.

Where: Rotary Log Pavilion, 1401 Sargent Ave., Aberdeen.
